Haute was founded by two families who have an unfortunate history of cancer disease, with some family members that were able to recover, and others who passed away.

This led to an uncompromising obsession to research those ingredients which have enough ‘noise’ or studies that show to be potentially carcinogenic, toxic or act as a hormonal disruptor, to eliminate them from all our products.

“Potentially carcinogenic” or controversial was enough for us to eliminate such ingredient from all our formulas.

Some cancer is indeed genetic, but a lot has been associated to lifestyle or what we are exposed to on a daily basis. Unfortunately there are many agents such as radiation and pollutants that may be found in the air or food which are detrimental to our health, and skin, which we cannot easily avoid.

Skin is our largest organ and it absorbs a portion of what we put on it.

Fortunately, we get to decide what we put on our skin every day.

WE NEVER USE PARABENS, SULPHATES, MINERAL OIL, SILICONES, PHTHALATES, PEG’S, METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE OR PETROLEUM DERIVATIVES.

Diverse research studies link parabens as being endocrine disruptors and with potential carcinogenic properties.
Industrial chemicals found in many cosmetics found to disrupt the endocrine system and been linked to liver cancer.
Often used in shampoos and cleansers as foaming agents. Tests show they can penetrate into the eyes and systematic tissues (brain, heart, liver, etc.) with long-term retention and cause eye irritation, skin rashes and allergic reactions.
Petroleum-based compounds found in most cosmetic products. Studies link them to cancer, reproductive, fertility, birth or development defects and organ toxicity.
A type of preservative often used in cosmetics. The American Contact Dermatitis Society named methylisothiazolinone its 2013 Allergen of the Year.
Used for a smooth finish with potential skin clogging effect. Bad for the environment as they are chemically inert and take about 400-500 years to decompose and infiltrate into the ecosystem.
Paraffins, Mineral Oil, Polysorbates and other petroleum derivatives have numerous studies linking to toxicity. Clogging skin effect that actually can be masked as hydration but in reality dehydrate and age skin.
